🌵 We are Cactus Capital, the venture capital fund of Ben-Gurion University. From investors to entrepreneurs — we are all students or recent graduates.
Kickstarter
For the beginning entrepreneur, there's a track of ₪10,000, the Kickstarter, for those with an idea and an entrepreneurial dream.
Launcher
For the promising startup, there's an investment track of ₪100,000, the Launcher, for ventures at an early stage but more mature.

The Fund and Investment Tracks — In Detail
How It All Started
It all began in 2019, when the university leadership entrusted $1,000,000 to the Yazamut 360 Center with one clear directive:
Spark student entrepreneurship at Ben-Gurion University.
As a full 360 center, we chose for the fund to be student driven end to end. Today, after successfully deploying our first fund, we received an additional $1,000,000 that we are now investing.
The fund operates on two levels:
Training Analysts
We train BGU students in an Analyst Course. Top performers join the fund as team members and help make the decisions.
Finding Startups
Our analysts choose which student startups to invest in.
How to Receive Investment?
There are two criteria (mandatory):
- You need to be a student at Ben-Gurion University (graduates are also welcome).
- You have a startup idea — or have already started building it.
